Larkana has also established its system of higher secondary education for conducting SSC and HSSC examination, BISE Larkana board was established after some years of emergance of Pakistan. BISE is abbreviation for Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Larkana. Its head quarter is located in Justice Colony near Nawabpur road. Many thousand students appear every year in examination to carry out their higher education. It has financial and administrative body to carry out education in affiliated institutions.
Larkana boards jurisdiction covers Larkana, Kamber and Shahdad Kot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Dadu and Khairpur districts. It has many government and private colleges and school affiliated with it which runs under rules and regulations of board, changes are also brought by administration of board. Books are recommended by government of Sindh textbook board, syllabus and course is in Urdu, English, Local dialect Sindhi and other classical languages. Exam consist of three sections MCQ’s, short questions and long questions. Exams conducted are of two types theory and practical papers.

Admission commence two months before the examination of matric and intermediate now online forms are also given on its official website that causes convenience for private students and forms are also posted in affiliated colleges and schools. It’s is policy of board that student of 9th and 1st year must be registered with following board. Many students appear as regular students and other as private students. Affiliated institution works within parameters provided by board and changes can be made accordingly.
Subject and groups for matric students are Science and Arts and for Intermediate are Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, General Science and Arts making education spectrum broad. Result is announced after 3 months of examination of matric and intermediate on pre-announced date. For matriculation result in announced in July-August and for Intermediate in August-September.
